Leaks, mold, or storm damage in a Tanglewood home? ARC responds 24/7, protects finished interiors, dries to IICRC standards, and works directly with your insurance adjuster.
Tanglewood sits just west of Uptown and the Galleria, between San Felipe and Woodway. It was developed after World War II with ranch-style homes on generous, tree-lined lots, and much of it has since been rebuilt with large custom houses.
Those homes tend to have the materials that suffer most from water: site-finished wood floors, stone counters, painted cabinetry, and custom built-ins. We work to dry them in place where possible and document everything we can't save.
Extraction and monitored drying to IICRC S500. Water damage restoration
Contained removal and testing to IICRC S520. Mold remediation
Board-up, soot and odor removal, contents cleaning. Fire & smoke restoration
Tarping, board-up, and full repairs. Storm damage restoration
Tanglewood is flat and lies south of Buffalo Bayou. Intense rain can overwhelm street drainage, and wind-driven rain during tropical storms can get in around doors and windows.
Mature oaks and pines shade the neighborhood. Storms bring down limbs that can open roofs; we tarp and board up to stop more water from getting in.
Overflowing condensate pans and failed water heaters in attics send water straight through ceilings into finished rooms below.
Remaining mid-century homes often have older plumbing and additions from several eras. Newer homes have more fixtures and more hidden plumbing in finished ceilings. In both, a leak can spread well beyond where it first shows up.
Because many Tanglewood homes are occupied during repairs, we plan containment, floor protection, and equipment placement to keep the rest of the house usable.
IICRC documentation from day one, Xactimate estimates, and direct billing with all major carriers, so you pay only your deductible. How the claim process works
If it's unsafe, leave and call 911. Otherwise shut off the water, move art and rugs away from wet areas, and leave damaged materials in place for documentation.
We extract from the surface and below, then dry with monitored setups so site-finished wood and stone installations have the best chance of being saved.
Cabinetry, trim, and built-ins are checked with moisture readings before anything is removed. Where removal is needed, we document it first.
Containment, floor protection along work paths, and one point of contact from the first call through the final walk-through.
Our reconstruction team handles drywall, flooring, cabinetry, millwork, and paint, installed to match pre-loss condition.

Often, yes. We contain the affected area, protect floors along work paths, and position equipment to keep disruption down. If an area involves sewage, mold, or significant demolition, we'll explain why it needs to be closed off.
Stone and tile themselves usually survive water, but the substrate, grout, and cabinetry around them can hold moisture. We check what's underneath and dry or remove only what the readings support.
Yes. We set up containment, remove affected materials, and complete remediation to IICRC S520 standards, with post-remediation testing to confirm the area is clean.
We document to IICRC standards with moisture maps, readings, logs, and photos, and write estimates in Xactimate, the software most insurers use. We work with all major carriers and bill them directly.
Start by shutting off the water to that fixture and calling us. Slow leaks often travel farther than they look, under cabinets, beneath flooring, and into the walls of the next room. We use moisture meters to find the full wet area, check for mold growth, and dry what can be saved. Your carrier will want to know when the leak was found, so note the date and take photos.
